1. Introduction

Welcome to Inherited Dynamics (the "App"). These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our Service, including (i) the Inherited Dynamics mobile application, (ii) the inheriteddynamics.com website and any sub‑domains ("Site"), and (iii) any related content, features, and offerings (collectively, the "Service"). By downloading, installing, accessing, or using any part of the Service, you ("User," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy (together, the "Agreement").

If you do not agree, do not access or use the Service.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old—or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher—to create an account and use the Service. By accepting these Terms, you represent that you meet this requirement and that you have the legal capacity to enter into the Agreement.

3. Educational Purpose; Not Professional Advice

The Service provides educational content about Family Systems Theory and interpersonal dynamics designed for personal growth and self-awareness. It does not provide psychological counseling, mental health treatment, or professional therapeutic services. The App is not a substitute for professional mental health care.

If you are experiencing mental health difficulties, please consult a qualified mental health professional. If you are in crisis or experiencing thoughts of self-harm, please contact emergency services immediately.

4. User Accounts

4.1 Registration. To access certain features you must create an account using an email address, social sign‑in (Apple, Google), or equivalent credentials.

4.2 Accuracy. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information and to keep it updated.

4.3 Security. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use at support@inheriteddynamics.com.

5. Subscriptions, Pricing & Payments

We offer both free and paid (premium) tiers. Premium features are available through automatically renewing subscriptions ("Subscription") that can be purchased in‑app.

5.1 Free vs Premium. Core learning materials may be accessed for free. Premium features, their pricing, and any introductory promotions are disclosed before purchase.

5.2 In‑App Purchases (Apple App Store / Google Play). If you buy a Subscription through an app‑store provider ("App‑Store Provider"), your payment is processed by the App‑Store Provider and governed by its terms. All financial terms (price, taxes, refunds, renewals) are set out in the App‑Store Provider's interface. We use Adapty as our subscription management platform.

5.3 Billing & Auto‑Renewal. Unless otherwise stated, Subscriptions auto‑renew for the same term (e.g., monthly or yearly) at the then‑current price until canceled. Your payment method will be charged up to 24 hours before the start of each renewal period.

5.4 Taxes & Currency. Prices are shown in your selected currency and, where required by law, may include or exclude VAT/GST or other indirect taxes. The App-Store Provider calculates, collects, and remits such taxes on our behalf.

6. License Grant & Restrictions

We grant you a limited, non‑exclusive, non‑transferable, revocable license to download, install, and use the Service for personal, non‑commercial educational purposes, subject to the Agreement. You agree not to:

• Copy, modify, adapt, translate, reverse‑engineer, decompile, or create derivative works of the Service
• Circumvent, disable, or interfere with security‑related features
• Use the Service for any unlawful, infringing, or harmful purpose
• Share your account credentials with others

7. Intellectual Property

All content and functionality—including text, graphics, audio, video, assessments, and software code—are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual‑property laws. No rights are granted to you except the limited license set out in Section 6.

8. User Content

8.1 License to Us. If you submit any content through the Service (such as notes, reflections, or feedback), you grant us a worldwide, royalty‑free, sublicensable license to host, display, reproduce, and otherwise use your content solely to operate and improve the Service.

8.2 Responsibility. You warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to submit the content and that it does not violate any law or third‑party right.

9. Third‑Party Links & Services

The Service may contain links to third‑party websites or services (including but not limited to Firebase, Adapty, Facebook Analytics, and Adjust). We do not endorse and are not responsible or liable for third‑party content, products, or services.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error‑free, or that any defects will be corrected.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we (and our officers, directors, employees, and agents) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Service. Our total aggregate liability under the Agreement shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim or (b) €50.

12. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless us and our affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your (i) use of the Service, (ii) content you submit, or (iii) violation of the Agreement or any applicable law.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason, with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time through the App settings or by contacting us. Upon termination, Sections 6–16 will survive.

14. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, without regard to conflict‑of‑law principles. You agree to first attempt to resolve any dispute informally by contacting us. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to the competent courts of Cyprus, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring the dispute before the courts of your habitual residence.

15. Changes to the Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will post updated Terms on the Site or in the App and update the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
